HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Today we celebrate our daughter’s birthday.  It is a special day because we love her tremendously and she brings so much joy into our lives.  As I move the lens of celebration to a heavenly perspective it moves me into awe how special she is and how special her birthday is [READ Ephesians 2:10].  Who she is, whose she is, and where she has been are either an amazing series of coincidences and arbitrary happenings or it has a creator at the helm [READ Colossians 1:16:17].  When I think about how her life has unfolded the sum of the parts of her journey to date are too synchronized to be just evolutionary happenstances [READ Proverbs 9:11].  She did her part of hard work, diligence, and persistence but it could not have borne the results of her life without the involvement of a creator [READ Psalm 20:4].  She could have perhaps accomplished some of it but it is very unlikely that she could have accomplished all of it without the involvement of a creator [READ Psalm 46:5].  A creator that orchestrated not only her life but all the lives around her.  A creator that determines when, where and how so that the timing is always perfect.  A timing perfect in our efforts in daily living.  So today, I not only celebrate my daughter’s birthday but also celebrate that she has a Creator (God) that delivers, controls and determines what is needed in her life.  A celebration of gratitude of taking care of our little girl and taking care of her future [READ Provers 31:25].  A celebration of gratefulness that He is there for her (behind her and in front of her) to guide her and to accomplish His plans for her [READ 2 Corinthians 6:18].  A celebration of love for taking care of her and for his divine involvement in all that she sets out to do in thoughts, words and actions [READ Proverbs 3:15:18].  I celebrate her birthday and the One who breathed life into her at birth and each birthday thereafter [READ Isaiah 43:1].
