FATHER’S BEST
When we separate ourselves from God (sin) in our thoughts, words and actions we are also separating ourselves from God’s best for our life [read Ephesians 2:12]. God’s best is in God’s presence so when we separate ourselves from Him we are also running from His presence [read Romans 8:35-39]. The story about the prodigal son is a son who wanted to live life on his terms and in his way so he wanted and got his inheritance to achieve this [read Luke 15:11-32]. This act was combined with him separating himself from his father (treating him as though he was dead to get the rights to his inheritance). What the son did not understand is that he would have the rights to his future inheritance if he had stayed with his father plus he would have received the blessing of his father’s presence which includes his generous nature [read Ephesians 1:11-14]. The son would have received his father’s best for his life.
