TALKING WITH GOD
Prayer and journaling is how I communicate to God and reading His Word (the Bible) is how He communicates to me. Prayer and journaling are intentional time with God with purpose [read Psalm 119:47, 72, 97, 103 & 148]. A purpose to thank Him [read Colossians 4:2]. A purpose to ask Him for help [read Mark 11:24]. A purpose to glorify Him through my communication with Him to align my thoughts, words and actions [ read Philippians 4:6-7]. A communication that is not speaking to God in generalities but rather a communication that is speaking to God as my Father [read Romans 8:26-27]. He in turn communicates to me through Scripture when I spend intentional time in the Bible with Him with purpose [read Matthew 4:4]. A purpose to know Him better [read Joshua 1:8]. A purpose to hear how we sees me [read Jeremiah 29:11]. A purpose to have Him reveal to me what He wants me to know, hear and see [read Psalm 119:105 & Matthew 7:24]. When I read the Bible, His Word reads (speaks to) me [read Hebrews 4:12-13] because when I read I am saying His Words. Prayer and spending time in the Bible go hand in hand for a conversation with and hearing from God [read Isaiah 55:11].
