FINDING JOY
Count it all joy (James 1:2-4) not because it is joyful (although it can be). Count it all joy because God is in it (in your life) and He is good and He is goodness. Your life has more value than the challenges that you are facing and counting the joy (the blessings) identifies how good God has been, is, and will be in your life (Hebrews 13:5). The joy is what He has done for you, is doing for you, and will do for you. Counting the blessings of your life pivots your mindset from the challenges overshadowing God’s goodness and feeds your hope that His goodness is at work even in the challenges at hand (Hebrews 12:1-3). The Enemy wants you to be hyper focused on the challenges so that you will not focus on God’s blessings. The Enemy does not want you to count the joy in your life. God is good and He is goodness so every detail in your life is used by Him for the plans He has for your life. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). Our role in our daily living is take steps of faith in, with and to His goodness regardless of what we see or feel and choose joy over despair. Not to give up (on God) and not to give in (to the Enemy) (Galatians 6:9). That every detail of our life; our circumstances, and our challenges are used by God and what God uses is and will be part of His goodness (Isaiah 41:10). Count it all joy because God is in it and for You. Count it all joy because He works in, for and through you in your tribulations. Count it all joy because joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5).
