THE POWER OF PATIENCE
The power of patience is in being understanding to gain wisdom. People with understanding control their anger and temper treating others with a behavior (patience) that welcomes them rather than rejects them [read Ecclesiastes 7:9 & Proverbs 15:1]. This comes from wisdom that is enshrined in an understanding heart [read Proverbs 4:7, 33]. They use language (words) that are not cutting remarks that stymie the conversation but instead advances it by use of understanding words and behaviors [read Proverbs 15:18]. The power of patience is not being agreeable for the sake of being agreeable but to expand the understanding in your heart and gain wisdom that will advance your personal growth and the growth of others [read Ephesians 4:2]. The more that I am patient, the closer I am to God. The more understanding I have in my heart, the more I have Him present in my life [read 1 John 5:20]. Patience is the action of loving others, the choice to love others [read Matthew 22:36-40]. Patience is loving God by getting and being close to Him [read James 4:8].
