ON LOAN
Called people believe that everything they have is on loan to them from God [read Deuteronomy 10:14, James 1:17 & Psalm 24:1]. This includes possessions which should be held lightly so they can be enjoyed and shared with open hands [read Proverbs 19:17 & 1 Timothy 6:17]; relationships which are to be cherished for there is no guarantee that those we love we will see tomorrow [read Ephesians 4:32 & 1 Corinthians 16:14]; positions that are on loan from God to influence and lead [read Ephesians 3:20]; and our very life which is on loan to be used as being available to God for His purposes [read Luke 12:15-21]. It flips the script from what we have to being an entitlement or that we own it, to it being recognized as being a gift and on loan from God to be treated with care and love as good stewards. Called people treat all of it as a loan from God [read 1 Peter 4:10]. All of it as a privilege to honor Him as the true owner and glorify Him as stewards on His behalf for what He has loaned us [read 1 Peter 4:7-11 & Colossians 3:23].
