YOU ARE SPECIAL

The Jews are special to God since the creation of mankind and that special place He has for them has been expanded to include us as Gentiles through the work Jesus did to, on, and through the cross [read Galatians 3:29].  Jesus not only provided the way for all of us (Jews and Gentiles alike) to receive Salvation as a free gift but His work also provided the grafting for us Gentiles into the Jewish branch of God’s people and all the promises and blessings that He has, is, and will provide to them [read Psalm 33:12].  When you read the Old Testament, remember that when God speaks to the Jewish people, He is also talking to us, Gentiles [read Deuteronomy 14:2].  When He shares how special the Jews are to Him, that extends to all of God’s people.  God’s promises He made to Abraham were made to him and to Abraham’s offspring (singular) which is Jesus.  In Him, we inherit all that God promised to Abraham [read Galatians 3:16 & Genesis 17:7].  We are one people (God’s people) in Christ Jesus - Jewish and Gentile alike through Jesus Christ [read Galatians 3:28].
