SLOW TO ANGER

Slow to anger is an action; a mindset; and it is foundational [READ James 1:19-20].  It is a decision not to react but to reflect [READ James 1:2].  A mindset to help (with thoughts, words, and actions) and not to hurt (with thoughts, words, and actions).  It is a discipline that stems from making this foundation in all I think, say, and do [READ Proverbs 25:28].  Where anger is the last resort, not the first option [READ Ecclesiastes 7:9].  To turn what would have been anger in words you use; an anger in how you deal with people and situations; and an anger that percolates in your thoughts and internal dialogue and turns (pivots) your thoughts, words, and actions to deal with people and situations on how Jesus would likely have dealt with things (as seen in His Word - Scripture) in what He would have likely done, said, and even likely thought [READ Joel 2:13].  To reflect Him in my daily moment-by-moment living and not reflecting my flesh nature [READ Proverbs 14:29].  Jesus was slow to anger so when we are slow to anger, we bring Him glory (we reflect Him) when we are slow to anger in all we say, do, and think [READ Psalm 103:8 & Galatians 5:22].
