SHAFT OF LIGHT

When I see a ray of brilliant light, my naturaly inclination is to follow the shaft of light with my eye to see the source.  However, I am not mindful about that when it comes to the God’s light in the world around me.  I am surrounded by wonders in this natural world and wonders in my daily living that have a shaft of light that trace back to its source which is God [READ Psalm 27:13 & Ephesians 5:9].  It is God’s goodness on display that we tend not to give Him credit for as the source - the Creator [READ 2 Corinthians 10:17].  Goodness in the worders of this natural word (nature, living creatures, et al) [READ John 1:3].  Goodness in things in our life in the form of provision and protection [READ Romans 8:28].  Goodness in the very breath in our lungs [READ Job 33:4].  All of these having a shaft of life that lead to  God as its source.  I need to be intentional by building a habit of mind that follows the shaft of light for all good things as a way to understand God better and to enjoy God more [READ James 1:17].
