PIE OF LIFE
Our life is like a pie with various slices representing the elements of our life. The slices vary in size based on their importance, our time commitment to it, and its priority. In our natural self, we make God one of those slices making Him another slice in our life which is an incorrect hierarchy because He is the pie pan that holds all the slices together. Each of those slices have content representing the element with the sum of the content sitting in the pie shell/crust that represents you. The pie shell and its contents have to be in a pie pan to hold it all together which, if we are not mindful and intentional, will be the world and the Enemy’s ways [read John 17:14-15]. You as the complete pie is designed (by God) to have Him (God) as the pie pan for the pie shell (you) along with all its ingredients (what you spend time on in life). In other words, all that I do, think and say is pushed through God as my filter [read Philippians 4:8]. All that I prioritize and spend time with and on is to be pushed through God as my filter [read Proverbs 3:6 & Philippians 4:12-13]. God as my pie pan will keep me together in His care, protection and providence [read Isaiah 41:10-13].
