E.G.O.
We edge God out of our being (thoughts, words and actions) when we replace Him with something else as the object of our worship; when we replace Him with something else for the source of our security and self worth; and when we replace Him with something else as the audience for (and as authority) over our daily work and life story [read Proverbs 16:18 and Matthew 6:1]. It is your heart’s ego that edges God out and we put ourselves in place of Him for our daily living. It is an egocentric (self centered thinking) approach to living in which you believe that you know best, you deserve the best, and that is up to you to write your life story. Just remember that you in the center of your life will be limited to the best you can provide but Jesus in the center is unlimited to the best God can provide [read James 4:5-7]. Do not let ego (E.G.O. - Edging God Out) keep you from God’s best that He has planned for your life [read Jeremiah 29:11]. Invite Him in and let Him guide you for every choice for your entire life [read Proverbs 3:5-6].
